देखs बरसल पानी

देखs देह भीजल

कपरा-लत्ता तीतल

घर-दुआर भीजल

छप्पर, ओसारा भीजल

चुए लगल गरीब-अमीर, सबके, ओरियानी

देखS बरसल पानी

Oh look, it rained

See how body is soaked

See, how wet is cloth

The room with doors smiles

Damp courtyard and weather tiles

Dribbling are eaves of rich-poor's moistened

Oh, look now it rained

टूसा-टूसा भीजल

डीभी-डीभी भीजल

गाछ-बिरिछ भीजल

पत्ता-पत्ता भीजल

छपछप अमरित चमकल जइसे चानी

देखS बरसल पानी

All leaflets are dank

Little clovers are sank

To saturate trees are set

And every leaf is wet

Splashing in water like silver brightened

Oh look, it rained

गरमी के मूँह चुराएल

खेत-पथार जुराएल

खुसी से आँख लोराएल

कनकन्नी तन-मन ओझराएल

ईयाद आबे लागल बालपन के

हरियर -कचोर नदानी

देखS बरसल पानी

The summer has got blush

The land and farm slush

In happiness, eyes got tears

In body or mind no fears

Memories of childhood came

Those didoes unrestrained

Oh look, it rained

सिहक गेल देह , सिहक गेल रोआँ-रोआँ

जालिम जेठ से मिलल तनियक छुटकारा

झमाझम बरसा परचण्ड

जइसे ताबड़तोड़ बल्लेबाजी करइत विवियन रिचर्ड्स

खरीद कs पानी पटाबेवला किसान के

खुल गेल तकलीफ के गेंठी ससरफानी

देखS ...बरसल पानी ।

Whole body is thrilled, with excitement filled

To our relief, bloodthirsty summer is killed

The roistering cloudbursts

Like demolishing batting of Vivian Rechards

The farmers who had to buy water for his farm/

Got all the ties of troubles unfastened

Oh look, it rained.

Introduction of the poet: Sri Bhagwat Sharan Jha is a renowned poet of Hindi and Bajjika. His three collection of poems including one titled 'Ashanka Se Ubarte Hue' has been published and applauded by the critics. By profession an ITO, Sri Jha is basically a down-to-earth poet and concentrates on the life of villagers and the people at last rung of the society.

कवि-परिचय: श्री भागवत शरण झा 'अनिमेष' हिन्दी और बज्जिका के एक प्रसिद्ध कवि हैं. उनके तीन कविता-संग्रह प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं जिनमें से एक एकल संग्रह भी है जिसका नाम है 'आशंका से उबरते हुए'. वृत्ति (पेशे) से एक आयकर अधिकारी रहते हुए ये कवि मलत: मिट्टी से जुड़े हुए कवि हैं और ग्राम्य जीवन एवम अंतिम पायदान पर रह रहे लोगों से अधिक जुड़ाव रखते हैं.
