प्रेम कें बाती बनाकय
आउ हम दीया जराबी
मुक्त कंठे मां कें महिमा
मिलि जूलि कय
सब क्यो गाबी
Making love a wick
Lamp is lit up without
shudder
Very cordially we sing
The praise of our
mother
छी बहुत नाचार हे माँ
दुष्ट कें संघार करू अहां
दुराचारक करू निवारण
भूलल बिसरल पथ स भटकल
दिव्य दृष्टि दय दयानी
रास्ता सबकें देखाबी
प्रेम कें बाती बनाकय
आउ हम दीया जराबी
So helpless we are O
mother
Every wicked ones you
slaughter
And free us from
malfeasance
You please give the
divine sight
Losing path who go
hither and tither
Very cordially we sing

मांझ मे मजधार जीवन
पग पग पर छद्म शोषण
भ्रष्ट नेता बलात्कारी
भूख ओ भय-मुक्त जीवन
संस्कृतिक महान क्षरण
सभ्यताक भ रहल दोहन
आस विश्वासक जगाबी
प्रेम कें बाती बनाकय
आउ हम दीया जराबी
In the midst of
life, caught in a vortex
Pseudo, exploitation are there to vex
The leaders are
corrupt and rapists
A life free from
hunger and fear like axe
Culture is being
eroded
Civilisation is
getting tapped
Give hope of faith, a
breather
Very cordially we sing
The praise of our
mother
ई हमर संतप्त जीवन
घोर तिमिर ओ विपद सम
प्राप्त हो माधुर्य जीवन
'अरुण' क्रंदन क' रहल मां
रास्ता हमरा बताबी
प्रेम कें बाती बनाकय
आउ हम दीया जराबी.
This life is so
tormented
Gloom and adversity on
head
May we get the sweetness of life
'Arun' is crying
pitifully afraid
Show our path another.

कवि-परिचय: श्री अरुण कुमार लाल दास, भारतीय स्टेट बैंक से अधिकारी के पद से सेवानिवृत हुए हैं. ये मैथिली के अच्छे कवि हैं. ये मधुबनी (बिहार) के मूल निवासी हैं और वर्तमान में जयपुर (राजस्थान) में रहते हैं.
Introduction of the poet- Sri Arun Kumar Lal Das retired from SBI as an officer. He is a good poet in Maithili. He is domicile of Madhubani (Bihar) and staying at Jaipur (Rajasthan) at present.
