One fathered the
Nation
As an apostle of peace
and love
And faced wrong
bullets
In misguidedly
prevalent tentacles
Another died in
harness
As a noble premier of
the country
While steering the
critical sail
Against the diplomatic
obstacles.
शांति और प्रेम के देवदूत बनकर
एक भारत के पिता बने
और गलत ढंग से बने गोलियों के शिकार
दिग्भ्रमित चहुँओर फैले लोगों के हाथों
दूसरे मरे अपने कार्यावाधि में ही
भारत के महान प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में
देशरूपी जहाज को कूटनीति के
नाज़ुक दौर के भँवर से निकालते हुए

Born on the same
august day
Worked for us without
a cessation
In the disturbed
center
Surrounded by the
mightiest foes
Ruling the roost
highhandedly
Subjecting Indians to
severe woes
गांधी और शास्त्री
भारत के महानतम व्यक्तित्व
आज के पवित्र दिन जन्म लिये
विपत्तियों से घिरे केंद्र में
हमारे लिए अनवरत लड़ते रहे
सर्वशक्तिशाली उन शत्रुओं से घिरे होने के बावजूद
जिन्होंने सबकुछ लील लिया था
जनता को अति कष्ट में डालते हुए
Thanks to both and the
ilk
India soars high in
all global fields
Peace and prosperity
reign
In cordial deeds of
egalitarian guilds
Gandhi's love and
non-violence
And Shastri's Jai
Jawan, Jai Kisan slogan
We hold them in high
esteem
As our idols and
nationalistic paragon.
इस दोनों के और इन जैसे लोगों के कारण ही
भारत हर क्षेत्र में ऊँचा उठ पाया
शांति और सम्पन्नता कायम हो पाई
समतामूलक समाज के प्रेमपूर्ण प्रयासों से
गांधी का प्रेम और अहिंसा
और शास्त्री का जय जवान जय किसान का नारा
हमलोग अत्यंत श्रद्धापूर्वक याद करते हैं
हमारी राष्ट्रीयता के आदर्श के प्रतीक के रूप में.
CRY IN THE WILDERNESS
Drop by drop
My blood drips off me
On the tapestry of
hard work
On the tiresome toil
Engraving a poetic
tableau
Of dedication--
My commitment
On the futile canvas
Of transient life...
Vivid vista of
abstruse ideas,
Suffering, pains,
miseries
Woven together
Painstakingly shaded
And graded with
happiness
Found, and bound
In my poetic art
Mostly subjective
objectified
Profound in feel
And deeper thoughts
Well wrought in
blotted color
Goes useless,
unnoticed,
Unappreciated
Dirt-blurred by the
sands
Of ruthless Time
My poetic voice is
lost
Crying in the
wilderness...
