सुधा कर्ण - मैथिली भाषा की प्रथम महाकवयित्री (Sudha Karn- the first super-poetess of Maithili language)

   मैथिली के जौं विश्वक मधुरतम भाषा कहल जाय तो ई अतिशयोक्ति नहीं होयत. भारत देशक आठम अनुसूची में स्थान पाओल अहि भाषाक साहित्य सदैव उच्चस्थ शिखर पर अपन विशेष स्थान लय विराजमान रहल अछि. आ अहि उच्चताक परम्परा केँ कायम रखाबा मे कविगणक संग-संग कवियित्रि गणक सेहो अग्रगण्य भूमिका रहल अछि. मुदा सुधा कर्णक अवदान एतेक विपुल आ बहमूल्य छैक जे हुनका मैथिली भाषाक प्रथम महाकवयित्रीक संज्ञा देबा मे कोनो संकोच नहि हेबैक चाही. ई कहब छन्हि मैथिली भाषाक परम विदुषी डॉ. वीणा कर्ण कें.

    If you call Maithili the sweetest language on the earth then it would not be an  exaggeration.  Finding it’s place in the Eight Schedule of the Constitution of India Maithili language always adorn the topmost summit of literature with its special significance. And to maintain this high position many poetess too along with the great poets have played leading roles.  And the contribution of Sudha Karn is so rich and precious that there should not be any compunction in calling her the first super-poetess of Maithili literature. This is the saying of Dr. Veena Karn, the great scholar of Maithili.

   अपन संवेदनशीलता, दार्शनिकता, माधुर्य, लालित्य, विनयशीलता आदि अनेक कारण सँ. गहन सामाजिक सरोकार रखैत मैथिली अतेक प्रांजल आ मनोविनोदपूर्ण अछि जेकर कोनो सानी नहि  छैक. विद्यापति जकाँ कालजयी कवि द्वारा सिंचित ई मैथिली भाषा केँ वर्तमान समय मे अहि सम्माननीय स्थान मे अनबाक दिशा में सैकड़ों साहित्यकार अपन बहुमूल्य योगदान देने छथि – हरिमोहन झा, जीवकांत झा, लाल दास, गोबिन्द दास, चन्दा झा, उषाकिरण खान, खड्ग बल्लभ दास ‘स्वजन’, सुधा कर्ण एवम अनेक. हम स्वीकार करैत छी जे एतेक उच्च कोटिक साहित्यकार सँ परिपूर्ण एहि भाषाक रचनाकारक फेहरिस्त कखनो सम्पूर्ण नहि भs सकैत अछि.

    Keeping intense social connect and having  many of her qualities including sensitiveness, philosophical metaphorism, sweetness, beauty and humbleness , Maithili has emerged as unparalleled chaste as well as entertaining language.  Watered by such a classical poet as Vidyapati Maithili language has got its honoured status also because of important contribution of hundreds of litterateurs – Harimohan Jha, Jeevakant Jha, Lal Das, Gobind Das, Chanda Jha, Usha Kiran Khan, Khadg Ballbh Das ‘Swajan’, Sudha Karn and many more. We admit that replete with highest breeds of litterateurs the list of creators in this language can never be complete.

   सुधा कर्ण ओहि कवयित्रीक नाम अछि जे मैथिलीक लोकगीत विधा केँ पारम्परिकत बिधि-बिधानक गीत सँ गहन दार्शनिकता के तरफ ल जेबाक माद्दा रखैत छथि. किछु मास पहिने हिनकर निधन सँ मैथिली भाषा केँ अपूरणीय क्षति भेल अछि. दुर्भाग्यवश अनेक गोट लेल ई अखनो अपरिचित हेती कियेक तौं ई अति-गुणवती महान कवयित्री कहियो अपन कविता पोथी केँ बाजार सँ जोड़बाक पर्याप्त प्रयास नहि करलन्हि. मैथिली गीत रामायण, मिथिलाक पावनि विहार, मैथिलीक नवगीतिका, मैथिली गीतमय गीता,केहन बदलि गेलए दुनियाँ, दिनकर गीतमाला, सामा चकेवा, मैथिली गीतमय संक्षिप्त दुर्गासप्तशती, जय शिवशंकर, माँ भगवती, चलए काँवरिया बाबाधाम आ प्रेयसी (खण्डकाव्य). मैथिलीक अहि अत्यन्त विशिष्ट कवयित्रीक कविताक फलक एतेक उर्वर अछि जे हुनकर निधनक पश्चात अखनो हुनकर पच्चीस टा काव्य ग्रन्थ प्रकाशनक बाट देखि रहल अछि. कोनो गुण के पहिचानैवला प्रकाशक लेल ई साहित्यिक विपुल भण्डार अखनो पड़ल अछि हुनकर माध्यमसँ सम्पूर्ण जगत के अपन आभा सँ जगमग करै लेल. देखियौ किनका ई सौभाग्य भेटैत छन्हि.

   Sudha Karn is the name of that poetess who has guts to take the folklore style of Maithili from conventional ritualistic songs to deep philosophical realm. Maithili language has suffered an irredeemable loss by the death of Sudha Karn a few months ago. Unfortunately, for a large section of people she would still be an unknown personality because this superbly talented poetess never tried to tap her poetic merit onto the floors of market by bringing her books there wholeheartedly. Maithili songs, Ramanaya, Mithilak Pawani Vihar, Maithilik Navageetika, Maithili lyrical Geeta, How the world has changed, Dinkar Geetmala, Sama Chakeva, Maithili lyrical brief Durgasaptshati, Jai shivshankar, Maa Bhagwati, Chalay Kanwariya Babadham and Beloved (Semi-epic). The universe of this very special poetess of Maithili is so fertile that even after demise, there are more than twenty-five books still waiting for publication. This amazingly rich repertoire in classical Maithili lyrics  is still available to illuminate the whole world with its distinctive lustre through a connoisseur publisher. Let us see who gets this fortunate opportunity.

   सुधा कर्णक बहिन डॉ. वीणा कर्ण सेहो उच्च कोटिक साहित्यकार छथि आ पटना विश्विद्यालय में मैथिलीक बिभागाध्यक्ष पद सँ सेवानिवृत भय मैथिलीक साहित्य अकादमी के दू बेर सदस्य रहि चुकल छथि. मुदा ऊहो स्वीकार करैत छथि जे हुनकर सम्पूर्ण सम्मानित सृजन कार्य हुनकर बहिन सुधा कर्णक साहित्यिक योगदानक आगू लघु छैक. सुधा कर्ण विध्यालय शिक्षिकाक पद सँ सेवानिवृत भेली आ हुनकर चारि टा पुत्र शेखर वर्मा (विशवविद्यालय सँ स्वर्ण पदक प्राप्त), सुधांशु शेखर (शिक्षक), शशांक शेखर (विदेश में कार्यरत सी. मैंनेजर), सचिन वर्मा (व्यवसायी) नीक जकाँ अपन जीवन यापन करैत छथि आ अपन जीवन में अपन माताक आशीर्वाद कें हरदम अनुभव करैत छथि.

    Dr. Veena karn, the sister of Sudha Karn is also a highly reckoned Maithily poet and reviewer and after getting retired from the Head of Department post in Patna University, she has been the member of Maithili Sahitya Academy for two full terms.  Though she also concedes that her whole high-level creative works is insignificant in comparison with the contribution  of her sister Sudha Karn to Maithili literature. Sudha Karn retired from the post of a school teacher and has four sons- Shekhar Verma (University Gold medalist), Sudhanshu Shekhar  (teacher), Shashank Shekhar (Sr. Manager working abroad) Sachin Verma (Businessman) are leading their respective lives well and always feel the blessing of their mother in their lives.
