तन नहाये, मन नहाये

ज्योति में जन-जन नहाये

धार ऐसी रोशनी की हम बहायें.

Body along with mind takes bath

In it, the whole humankind takes bath

Let us throw such a stream of light

नफरतों की रात काली बढ़ रही है

दुश्मनों की यातनाएँ गढ़ रही है

तम जलाये, गम मिटाये

बैर दिल में रह न जाये

जोत के हम गीत ऐसे गुंगुनाये.

The darkness of night is getting denser 

Giving the enemies a heavier fencer

Let us burn darkness, remove the sorrow

No hostility our heart should borrow 

We should hum such a song day and night

लोग अब अपने घरों को लूटते हैं

आज रिश्ते काँच जैसे टूटते हैं

नेह जागे, द्वेष भागे

स्नेह से घर जगमगाये

दीप इतने प्यार के हम सब जलायें.

Now people loot their very dwelling

Relationship breaks like a glass made thing

Love may come and hatred may go

With affection all the houses shine, lo 

Lit thousand lamps of love and never fight.

आस मन के पात जैसे झर रहे हैं

घन निराशा के घनेरे भर रहे हैं

पर उगाये, नभ दिखाये

चेतना मन में जगाये

श्वेत पंखी आस हम ऐसे सजायें.

Expectations shed  like leaves of mind

Clouds of despondency are heavier, you find

Feathers may grow with sky in both eyes

And consciousness in mind is there to arise

We must spruce up aspirations which are white

हर अंधेरे को उजाला बाँटना है

भेद की सब खाइयों को पाटना है

पथ दिखाये, धुंध जाये

दृष्टि को समरस बनाये

ज्ञान की ऐसी जलायें वर्तिकायें.

We are here to give away luster to gloom

Every gap is to be filled, it may not bloom

Haziness should go and ways become obvious

Our sight should become utterly harmonious 

The wick of such a knowledge we must alight.
