बदल गया है अगर वो तो शिकायत कैसी 

If he has changed then why I complain  

बदल गया है अगर वो तो शिकायत कैसी

और फिर हम भी ख़फ़ा हों तो मुहब्बत कैसी
जौं ओ बदलि गेल अछि तS शिकायत केहन

आ हमहुँ जे तमसा जाई तS मोहब्बत केहन

If he has changed then why I complain

And if I too am angry, is it love, then?

कुछ बुरा सोचें तो माहौल बिखर जाता है

माफ़ तुझको किया अब तुझसे अदावत कैसी
किछु जे बेजए सोची तs महौल बिगड़ि जाइत छै

जो माफ केलियौ तोरा आब अदावत केहन

If you think bad , you know, everything goes awry

I forgive you, you go, no issues remain 

हाँ, मगर याद बहुत आते हैं पिछले वो पल

क्या बताएँ तुझे इस याद की शिद्दत कैसी

हाँ, मुदा बड्ड यादि आबैत छै ओ बीतल पल

की कहियौ तोरा ओ यादि के शिद्दत केहन

Oh yes, memories of past still haunt me

Oh how intense are those, how do I explain

मसअला एक ही बाक़ी है शिकम का वो भी

हम ग़रीबों को तेरी दुनिया में राहत कैसी

एकहिं टा मोसकिल बाँचल छै आ ओ पेट छै

हमरा सन दरिद्रक केँ संसार मे राहत केहन

The only  problem remains now is that of belly

There is no relief for those  who are poor men

अब भी बाक़ी है वो उम्मीद का धुँधला पैकर

अब भी होती है ख़यालों में शरारत कैसी

अखनो बाँचल छै आसक ओ धुंधलायल चित्र

अखनो होइये खियाल मे शरारत केहन

Still the linings of hope  are fully alive

And mischievous pulsations still do happen 

हम तेरे ऐश-ओ-इशरत से कहाँ होंगे मरूब

सर झुका दें तेरी चौखट पे ये चाहत कैसी

तोहर विलास आ मौज-मस्ती सँ हमरा की 

माथ झुकाबी चौखटि परि ई चाहत केहन

Why should I join your wanton revelries? 
I bow to you, how this wish you maintain! 

अपने मेयार पे 'कुन्दन' को परखते हो क्यूँ

वो तो ख़ालिस है भला उसमें बनावट कैसी

अपन कसौटी पर कुन्दन केँ परखै छी कियेक

ओ तs भोल छै ओकरा मे बनावट केहन

Why do you test ‘Kundan’ on your anvil

He is blanc white a man without a stain.

कवि-परिचय: श्री संजय कुमार कुन्दन एक प्रसिद्ध शायर हैं और उनकी गजलों के तीन संग्रह देश के शीर्ष प्रकाशकों यथा राजकमल प्रकाशन से प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं. उनकी प्रकाशित पुस्तकें हैं 'बेचैनियाँ', 'तुम्हें क्या बेकरारी है' और 'एक लड़का मिलने आता है'. इनकी गज़लें भोगे गए यथार्थ को बयाँ करती हैं आदमी के अंदर इनसानियत को जिलाये रखने का प्रयास करती हैं. कुंदन जी एक जाने-माने अनुवादक भी हैं अंग्रेजी से हिंदी और हिंदी से अंग्रेजी के लिए.

Introduction of the poet: Sri Sanjay Kumar Kundan is a a renowned poet and his three books on collection of gazals have been published from the top-rated Hindi publishers like Rajkamal Prakashan etc. The title of books are 'Bechainiyan', 'Tumhe kya bekarari hai' and 'Ek ladka milne aata hai'. His poems are the expression of the experiences borne by oneself and strive to maintain the humanity alive within the soul and psyche of  human beings. Kundan ji is also a well-known translator from English to Hindi and vice-versa.
