On 21.5.2017 under the aegis of Bhartiya Yuva Sahityakar Parishad (Indian Youth Literary Council, Patna), a poet-seminar was held in Ramvriksha Benipuri Hindi Library of Bihar Railway Station, in which many dignitaries participated. Among the participating poets, Bhagwati Prasad Dwivedi, Siddheshwar Prasad, Sharad Ranjan Sharad, Shreekant Vyas, Hemant 'Him' and poetess Lata Prashar were prominent.
Shrikant Vyas, Editor of the 'Mukt Falak' (free sky) monthly magazine, had some of his ghazals, some of whom were lions-
"Getting love the stones also have begun to melting
The rainbow
Look at the strange crush in the world
For the sake of lovers, see how daggers are in action "
Siddheshwar Prasad has always been in the national level top magazines for decades through his artworks. Being active through 'Awasar Prakashan' (Opportunity Publication) he is also a good poet. Some selected lines of their poems are as follows-
"Unable to lessen it by
Even a minuscule amount
The bite of sin is as it is
Till the last breath" (1)
"Hold hold!
Your sweet poetry!
Lest someone might grab it
From the tip of your pen "(2)
The only poetess in attendance, Lata Prashar, also recited her poems about the country and society. Some words of the poem 'Grammar of politics' were as follows-
"Know well your leader
Indulged in giving knowledge to all
Some of whom talk about caste
And some are bugged by individualism"
Poetess read a satirical poem in which satire characters were used while using idioms. See some
"Not knowing something and blaming others
My residence is abroad
Your own hand is Juggernaut
The rest of the world are orphans "
Poet Hemant 'Him' read a ghazal (poem) and deepened the color of the sensitivity on the floor, the glimpse of which is-
"See, how I gained peace by turning into stone
You too should keep your feelings restrained
Now I am too afraid to fly, you keep my sky
Just give me a little bit of ground to stand upon"
Then on demand of listeners, 'Him' read a free-style poem, entitled 'Antarim' (interim). Defining the modern life-philosophy of the masses in its final lines, he said,
"Really!
do not you think
That
The whole life
Is just an interim arrangement?"
Renowned Ghazal writer and poet Sharad Ranjan 'Sharad' presented some of his forceful ghazals -
"Time! Let them rise a little more
I have to see them from my place
Look it by the eyes of a child
Look the life also in this manner "
Later on, Sharad Ranjan also read some free-style poems, one of which was 'News Game'. His last lines were:
He were as if asking me-
After so many years of practice
Whether you are able to
Play with the news like us? "
Bhagwati Prasad Dwivedi while fulfilling the presidential responsibility, made a short comment on poetry-texts recited by all the poets and finally read out his poems. A few lines of poetry highlighting the gap between upper and lower economic classes were as follows-
"You are the lord of
The height touching the sky
Larger than the country and the world
You are renowned
Illuminating lights
Pearl seeds
We are inferior people. "
There was a few pieces of Shri Dwivedi's other influential poem-
"One stick of the matchbox
creates huge amount of fire
Similarly with your bright efforts
The lamps of knowledge are illuminated
Inside and outside of the house"
