अत्यधिक संवेदनशील कवि की कविताएँ

चर्चित किताब :- 'तुम आओ चहकते हुए' ( कवि - हेमन्त दास  'हिम' )

समीक्षक - शहंशाह आलम (Shahanshah Alam)

     हेमन्त दास 'हिम' एक ऐसे संभावनाशील कवि हैं, जो विचारधारात्मक पसंद-नापसंद को छोड़ एक साधारण मनुष्य जैसा होकर कविता-कर्म में लगे दिखाई देते हैं। एक ज़िंदा मनुष्य इस जीवन को जीते हुए जो-जो कुछ महसूस करता है, उस मनुष्य के महसूसने को प्रकट करने वाले कवि हेमन्त दास 'हिम' कहे जा सकते हैं। तभी तो अपने कविता-संग्रह का नामकरण करते हुए पूरी मनुष्य-प्रजाति को संबोधित करने वाला नाम रखते हैं, 'तुम आओ चहकते हुए'। इस 'तुम आओ चहकते हुए' के कई प्रतिमान हो सकते हैं, लेकिन यहाँ सबसे बड़ा, सबसे अनूठा, सबसे सच्चा प्रतिमान यही है कि हेमन्त दास 'हिम' मनुष्य को अपना इकलौता साथी मानते हैं और उसी सच्चे साथी के चहकते हुए आने की मंगलकामना करते हैं।

    वैसे भी आज के विस्मयकारी सामाजिक ढाँचे ने मनुष्य से ख़ुशियाँ छीन ली हैं। इस तथाकथित आधुनिक संसार से सच्चे और अच्छे मनुष्य को उपहार स्वरूप यही मिला है कि सारे सच्चे-अच्छे मनुष्य अलग-थलग कर दिए गए हैं। अगर ऐसा नहीं है, तो सड़क पर किसी गिरे को उठाने वाला दृश्य अब दिखाई क्यों नहीं देता? अगर मेरे लिखे में झूठ है, तो यातायात पुलिस आज गाड़ी के काग़ज़ात चेक करते हुए हमसे पैसे ऐंठने को जितनी तत्पर रहती है, उतनी तत्पर किसी गिरे मोटरसाइकल सवार को उठाने के लिए तत्पर क्यों नहीं दिखाई देती, असल सवाल यही है :

ये दर्द का एहसास है ज़िंदा रहने का ऐलान

क्या कभी देखा है मुर्दों को तड़पते हुए

( 'उदास हूँ मेरे पास तुम आओ चहकते हुए' / पृ. 19 )।

     हेमन्त दास 'हिम' की कविताएँ मनुष्य की वर्तमान स्थितियों पर विचार करने की माँग की कविताएँ हैं। एक रचनाकार होने की हैसियत से ऐसा करना हर कवि का फ़र्ज़ है कि वह मनुष्य की स्थितियों पर नज़र रखे और मनुष्य-जाति को उसके जीवन की उन्नति का सही मार्ग दिखाए। ऐसा इसलिए भी करना ज़रूरी है कि मनुष्य के लिए यह कठिन काल है। इस कठिन काल में मनुष्यता पर आने वाले संकट को कोई कलाकार, कोई रचनाकार नज़रअंदाज़ करते हुए किसी पतली गली से निकल लेना नहीं चाहेगा। हेमन्त दास 'हिम' चूँकि मानवतावादी कवि हैं, इसलिए वे मानवता को बचाए रखने के सारे तरीक़े अपनी रचनाओं में अपनाते हैं :

"इसके पहले कि मैं चलूँ

तुम्हें जी भर के देख लूँ

एक ज्वार बन उतरूँ नीचे

प्रलय-उद्रेक लूँ

नव-प्रस्फुटित पणों पर

स्पर्शक फेंक लूँ

नेहसिक्त मस्तक पर

अधरों का अभिषेक लूँ।"

     समकालीन कविता के कवियों ने छंद को छोड़ा है, मैंने भी। लेकिन हेमन्त दास 'हिम' ने छंद का दामन थामे रखा है, मज़बूती से। कविता के इस छंद ने हेमन्त दास 'हिम' को लोकजीवन से पूरी तरह जोड़े रखा है। यही वजह है कि इन कविताओं का लोक पाठकों का अपना लोक लगता है। इन कविताओं का यथार्थ राजनीतिक न होकर सामाजिक है। इस सामाजिकता में कवि का अपना प्रेम है, अपना परिवार है, अपना उदास दिन है। यह सब मिलकर हेमन्त दास 'हिम' का काव्य-सौंदर्य अपना एक नया दृश्य-परिदृश्य बनाता है। इस दृश्य-परिदृश्य में कवि का करुण स्वर समकालीन कविता को एक ऐसी संवेदना भी देता है, जो समकालीन कविता का अपना गुण साबित होता है :

गुफ़्तगू तो कीजिए पर जुस्तजू अभी नहीं

बाअदब बनने की आरज़ू अभी नहीं

इस राह में चलने से हर एक उँगली उठेगी

पर इसे मैं छोड़ दूँ ये होगा कभी नहीं

वो भी कहते हैं कि वो भी धुन के पक्के हैं

हालात की मजबूरियों से रू-ब-रू अभी नहीं

यारो, यह सब तो रहा ऊपरी मौजों का ज़िक्र

तल के मंज़र को मैं बयाँ करूँ अभी नहीं

( 'गुफ़्तगू तो कीजिए पर...' / पृ. 39 )।

     हेमन्त दास 'हिम' का नाम मेरे विचार से उन कवियों के साथ जोड़ा जाना चाहिए, जिनके भीतर शायराना कैफ़ियत पुरज़ोर रही है। इसलिए कि इनके ग़ुस्से में भी शायरी है। इस लिहाज से हम देखें, तो हेमन्त दास 'हिम' एक अनूठे कवि हैं और इनकी भाषा भी अनूठी है, शिल्प भी और संप्रेषणीयता भी। इस उम्दा कवि के पास 'कविता क्या है' का जवाब भी है :

"सच!

क्या तुम्हें नहीं लगता

कि पूरी की पूरी ज़िंदगी ही

 एक अंतरिम व्यवस्था है।"

 हेमन्त दास 'हिम' की यह साफ़गोई आने वाले दिनों में कविता की साफ़गोई साबित होगी। इसमें कोई शक नहीं है। बस, इस कवि कि यह विशिष्टता बची रहनी चाहिए, जो कि निश्चित बची रहेगी।

(English translation of the original text of Shahanshah Alam has been made by Hemant Das 'Him')                      

     Hemant Das 'Him' is a potential poet who seems to be engaged in poetry and work as a simple human being rather than ideological likes and dislikes. Hemant Das, a poet who reveals the feelings of a person who feels like a sensitive person, and expresses them as they are. Only then, when christening his poetry collection, the name that addresses the entire human species, 'You come tweeting to me’. There may be many paradigms of this 'you come in peace', but here is the biggest, most unique, most true paradigm, that Hemant Das considers a human being to be his only companion and wants to meet the same true companion.

    Anyway, today's awe-inspiring social structure has snatched the happiness of man. From this so-called modern world to the true and the good man, it has been found that all true-minded people have been isolated. If it is not so, why we never see a case where someone raises a man fallen on the road? If there is a lie in my writing, then should not the traffic police be ready to lift a fallen motorcycle rider, even more than they are for extracting money while checking the paper papers of the vehicles. This only is the real issue.

"This realization of pain is the proclamation to be alive

Have you ever seen any dead body wincing."

    The poems of Hemant Das 'Him' are poems for the demand of contemplating human beings. It is the duty of every poet to do this as a creator, to keep an eye on man's situation and to show the right way of human development to his life. It is important to do this because it is a difficult period for humans. In this difficult period,  humanity shalll not want to let any artist, any creator slip out ignoring the crisis on it. Being a humanist poet, Hemant Das 'Him',  adopts all the methods of preserving humanity in his creations:

 'Before I go

Let me see you fully

Let me fall down like a tide

And experience the beginning of the cataclysm

On the new-blown panels

Let me throw my tentacles

Let me anoint with my lips

On your most affectionate forehead. '

 ('Before I go' / p. 21).

   Poets of contemporary poetry have left the verse, I too. But Hemant Das 'Him' has kept the promise of the verses, reliably. This verse of poetry has kept Hemant Das 'Him' completely linked to the life of the people. This is the reason why the mass of readers of these poems find their own world in these poems. The realities of these poems are not political but social. In this socialism, the poet sees his own love, his family, his sad day. Together, this beauty of poetry of Hemant Das 'Him' makes a new scene and background. In this scenario, the poem of compassionate voice also gives a sense of contemporary poetry, which proves his own virtues of contemporary poetry:

 'You may have a talk but do not aspire

I have no desire to be alert at the moment

Everyone will finger me if I go this way

Still I won’t be ready to desist from it any way

They also say that they are also true to their fad

Actually he has not seen what does it takes

Friends, these all are just the mention of upper waves

What is going deep within I shall not mention right now.  

      '

  In my opinion, the name of Hemant Das 'Him' should be associated with those poets, among whome the poignancy of feelings is strong. That is because even in his anger there is a poignancy. In this sense we see, then Hemant Das 'Him' is a unique poet and his language is unique as well as his crafts and communicability. This excellent poet has the answer to 'What is poetry':

“Really!

Do not you think

that the whole life is

Just an interim arrangement”.

    This clearness of Hemant Das 'Him' will prove to be a purification for the poem in the days to come. There is no doubt about it. Simply, this uniqueness of the poet must survive and that's a certainty.
