गज़ल- 1:  माँ 

Poem-1: Mother

 माँ का आँचल धरती अम्बर लगता है

गोद सलोना मखमल बिस्तर लगता है

The fold of mother is the earth and heaven

The lap is velvet bed so pretty  a terrain

प्रेम शजर उसने ही दिल में बोया है

दिल उसका परियों सा सुंदर लगता है

She herself has grown the tree of love

Her heart is as beautiful as a fairy, listen

माँ से ही घर की शोभा है उसके बिन

सूना सूना सब अगनई घर लगता है

She is the glory of the house, without her

The courtyard is lonely, pallid and plain

मन के भावों की उसको है परख बड़ी

दिल उसका इक नेह समंदर लगता है

She has a great knowledge of our feelings

Her heart is like an affectionate bubbly ocean

माँ चौखट पर अक्सर मेरी राह तके

सुखद सुहाना मन घर आकर लगता है

Mom often looks for me on the door frame

I reach a soothing serene home, again

मेरी माँ दिल जाँ में मेरे बसती है

पावन मंदिर मन के अंदर लगता है

My mother dwells in my heart and soul

A holy temple is within my home, certain.

गज़ल-2

आदमी हार थक जब बेचारा हुआ

वक्त का फिर नया सा इशारा हुआ

 रहमतों से बरसती दुआ जो मिली

फिर किसी ना किसी का सहारा हुआ

हौसले खुद जो हासिल करें जिंदगी

हासिले-आरज़ू फिर तुम्हारा हुआ

जिंदगी पुर सुकूँ बीत जाये यहाँ

आदमी आदमी का ही मारा हुआ

इश्क़ के नाम पर घाव ही घाव हैं

दिल्लगी में मुझे भी ख़सारा हुआ

आशनाई सनम की नहीं रास अब

चाहतों नफरतों से किनारा हुआ

चार दिन चांदनी में कटी जो सफ़र

जान ज़ालिम ज़माना अंगारा हुआ
शब्दार्थ:  ख़सारा : नुकसान, हानि, loss. आशनाई : प्रेम, love, दोस्ती, friendship.

कवि-परिचय: सुनील कुमार मुख्यत: प्रेम के विषय पर लिखनेवाले गज़लगो हैं जो पिछले कुछ वर्षों से साहित्यकर्म  में काफी सक्रिय हैं. ये पटना उच्च न्यायालय में कार्यरत एक अधिकारी हैं.

Intoduction of the poet: Sunil Kumar is a poet who concentrates mainly on feeling of love. He is an officer in Patna Hingh Court and has been very active in literary activities since last couple of  years.
